Project Profile: The largest children’s hospital in California, is a 449-bed pediatric care facility providing the most comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside, and Imperial counties.
Kelar Pacific Role: Provided 3D Laser Scanning to confirm existing conditions for the GC and HVAC subcontractor on a major TI project of hospital levels 2 and 4. Converted point cloud to 3D Revit model including beams, columns, exposed shaft, walls, sloped drains / waste / vent pipes, fire sprinkler mains, and architectural envelope. Mechanical: Provided HVAC subcontractor with BIM Modeling services of mechanical ducts and piping from the engineer drawings. Participate in BIM Coordination meetings and provide Shop Drawings including sleeve and block-outs. Kelar Pacific also placed digital points in the center of the sleeves to optimize layout for Robotic Total Station layout.
