As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for building revenue pipeline through outbound prospecting, as well as following up on and qualifying inbound leads.

You serve as the front line of the Kelar Pacific sales team and are responsible for driving awareness and interest in solutions Kelar Pacific represent. You work closely with the marketing, sales team to build pipeline and secure meetings with prospective customers who fit our Ideal Customer Profile.

You will work with marketing to build out messaging and campaigns that effectively communicate Kelar Pacific’s value proposition and use Salesforce and LinkedIn to generate leads.

General Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and qualify inbound leads in a timely manner and assign them to the Sales team.
  • Proactively make outbound activities, including calling and Social Media Outreach against established target lists.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales team in public events to generate leads.
  • Research accounts, and identify key contacts to reach out to, based on our ideal customer profile for strategic AECO accounts.
  • Leveraging the leads you have prospected and added to salesforce, reach out with the appropriate campaign/messaging to secure an initial discovery call.
  • Provide Territory Managers with appropriate background information ahead of the discovery calls you have secured.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting (Sales activities, pipeline vs target) to Business Development Manager.

Required Personal and Professional Skills:

1+ years of experience in a Business Development role at a technology company
Experience in Software sales in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry is a big plus
Experience with Salesforce
Capacity to think and act independently within a fast-paced, multitask driven environment
Enjoy prospecting and outbound activities
Goal oriented, result driven and well organized
University Degree related to Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Software is a plus
Excellent verbal, written and sales communication skills
Able to adapt to changing demands and conditions
Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Achieve sales objectives for generating new sales, expanding existing customer sale and consulting services offered by Kelar Pacific in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific solutions and services.
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on services and promotional sale items.
  • Generate customer proposals and quotations in accordance with Kelar Pacific profitability guidelines.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors related to the Kelar Pacific customer solutions and services.
  • Responsible for timely, accurate forecasts of weekly, quarterly and pipeline opportunities.

BA/BS or equivalent.

General Responsibilities:

  • Train & support Architectural, Engineering, & Construction (AEC) clients in Autodesk solutions.
  • Identify and provide clients with technical solutions to solve business issues.
  • Provide Building Information Modeling project services including modeling, drafting & coordination.
  • Increase consulting and product training revenues.
  • Work as part of a team to increase “specialized-vertical” CAD software sales.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Practical use of Autodesk AEC solutions including Revit Architecture / MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD & BIM360 Cloud services (Civil 3D/Infraworks a plus).
Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and Studio or similar PDF mark-up solution.
Minimum 3-5 years of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Industry experience.
BS in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction or equivalent experience
Strong understanding and knowledge of Building Information Modeling & Virtual Design Construction.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to teach minimum intermediate level class for Revit Architecture / MEP, AutoCAD & Navisworks Manage a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to learn and grow with new products and technology.
Former BIM Manager and Contract Coordinator a plus.

  • Prepare contracts with “Scope of Work” and project estimates for review.
  • Meet all requirements to begin work including signed contract, certificate of insurance, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the BIM schedule to meet overall project deliverables on time.
  • Interact with owners, GCs, and subcontractors to follow and process RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Manage project documents for the team.
  • Provide Autodesk Revit / BIM project design services including modeling, drafting and coordination.
  • Ensure all BIM deliverables are met by assigned parties and provided in a format defined by project requirements.
  • Process project invoices in accordance with completion targets defined in the contract.
