This class is for beginner entry level CAD users or those who need to refresh their basic AutoCAD Skill set. We will cover all of the basics that are required to put a set of drawings together, including annotations, simple symbol creation and plotting. Prerequisites required for this course include experience using the Windows® 98, ME, NT, 2000, or XP PRO operating system.

This class will walk you through the basics of the Revit interface. You will use parametric architectural components to build a 3D model that can be used to extract floor plans, elevations, sections and schedules. You wil go through all of the basics and become comfortable with this new interface. After completing this course you will be able to:
- Design complete projects in 3D using the Revit unified building modeler.
- Create plan, section, elevation and detail views from your Revit building models for use as either 2D construction documents or presentation drawings.

This course is broken into three 1-day sections (NavisWorks Manage, Simulate, and Review). Using hands-on exercises students learn how to open, review, and run object-interference checks on 3D models. Students also learn how to link to task-scheduling files and create 4D construction simulations. Using the Animator and Scripter tools, students create interactive animations. In addition, students learn how the Presenter tools can help them to create photorealistic images and animations. This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to use NavisWorks 2009 effectively.
- Day 1: NavisWorks Review - register for this class –
Includes Getting Started section and a 3D Model review set of lessons. Learn about the NavisWorks Engine, viewpoints, and real-time rendering capabilities.
- Day 2: NavisWorks Simulate - register for this class
Includes an overview on TimeLiner, Animator, Scriptor, and Presenter basics tools. The student will learn about importing tasks from external files, cameras and camera viewpoints, creating actions, and applying materials to model items.

Advanced Presenter features are covered including editing and managing materials, ground planes, environment backgrounds and reflections, custom environments, and a complete clash detective overview.
