    This class will teach you the basics of Revit and allow you to input structural information into your architectural model. From laying out structural elements or setting up a project for exterior structural analysis, this class will make you comfortable with the software and ready to start a new project. After completing this course, you will be able to:
    • Describe building information modeling and the benefits of bidirectional associativity.
    • Navigate through the Autodesk Revit Structure interface, manage views, and identify the different types of structural elements.
    • Start new projects, create levels, import files, and use column grids.
    • Work with structural walls, sections and elevations.
    • Create floor framing, roofs, structural steel frames, sloped beams, floor decks, foundation slabs, and footings and grade beams.
    • Create stairs, ramps and elevator pits.
    • Prepare the analytical model for analysis, add boundary conditions, and analyze and update the model with external analysis applications.
    • Add tags, dimensions, symbols, and text, and create legends and schedules.
    • Create different types of details and import typical DWG details.
    • Create sheets and 3D views, publish sheets, and export content to CAD formats.
