This class will teach you the basics of Revit and allow you to input structural information into your architectural model. From laying out structural elements or setting up a project for exterior structural analysis, this class will make you comfortable with the software and ready to start a new project. After completing this course, you will be able to:
Describe building information modeling and the benefits of bidirectional associativity.
Navigate through the Autodesk Revit Structure interface, manage views, and identify the different types of structural elements.
Start new projects, create levels, import files, and use column grids.
Work with structural walls, sections and elevations.
Create floor framing, roofs, structural steel frames, sloped beams, floor decks, foundation slabs, and footings and grade beams.
Create stairs, ramps and elevator pits.
Prepare the analytical model for analysis, add boundary conditions, and analyze and update the model with external analysis applications.
Add tags, dimensions, symbols, and text, and create legends and schedules.
Create different types of details and import typical DWG details.
Create sheets and 3D views, publish sheets, and export content to CAD formats.
