Prerequisites for the course: AutoCAD; a basic understanding of Civil Engineering design principles.

This course offers an in-depth introduction into the software and shows how quickly projects can be produced in Civil 3D. We will design a project starting from Survey data working through the design to full plan creation. Whether you are looking to move from AutoCAD to Civil 3D or just need to have a better understanding of the Civil software solutions, this class will provide that atmosphere.  We will provide a hand-on, instructor led course of these major sections:

    • Survey data
    • Surface data
    • Parcel data
    • Grading data
    • Roadway design data
    • Profile data Piping data
    • Sheet layout

This class has been designed to teach the concepts and principles from building design through construction documentation using the Autodesk Revit Structure software. We will introduce the students to the software's basic building components that make the Autodesk Revit Structure software a powerful and flexible structural modeling tool. Our goal is to familiarize you with the tools necessary to create, document, and print your parametric model. Examples and practices are designed to reflect as many different building types as possible.

    Topics include the following:

    • Introduction to the Autodesk Revit Structure software
    • Setting up Levels and Grids
    • Working with Views
    • Editing Elements
    • Modifying Commands
    • Starting a Structural Project using architectural underlays
    • Adding Columns and Walls
    • Adding Foundations
    • Structural Reinforcement
    • Work with structural walls, sections and elevations
    • Create floor framing, roofs, structural steel frames, sloped beams, floor decks, foundation slabs, and footings and grade beams
    • Create stairs, ramps and elevator pits
    • Prepare the analytical model for analysis, add boundary conditions, and analyze and update the model with external analysis applications
    • Bracing Frames
    • Floors, Shafts, and Stairs

This course is a two class covering all of the modules for Navisworks Manage and Simulate.

The Autodesk® Navisworks® Essentials course instructs students in real-world approaches to the software that combine 3D geometry from cross disciplines into one scene to enable effective model collaboration. This hands-on, instructor led class, will help students acquire the knowledge required to create, aggregate and markup the model. In this class we will introduce the students to TimeLiner, Animator, Scripter, and Presenter, as well as the Clash Detective tools within Autodesk Navisworks Manage.

Using Autodesk® Navisworks®, Simulate and Manage, students learn how to open, review, and run interference checks on 3D models with the Clash Detective. Students also learn how to link to task-scheduling files and create 4D construction simulations. Using the Animator and Scripter tools, students create interactive animations. In addition, students learn how the Presenter tools can help them create photorealistic images and animations.

    Fundamental Topics:

    • Describe the main features and functionality of Autodesk Navisworks.
    • Open and append 3D files of different formats and save in the Autodesk Navisworks format for NWC, NWD and NWF file types.
    • Create Selection Sets and Search Sets to manage the project correctly.
    • Perform visual project model reviews using the built-in review and reporting tools.
    • Create construction simulations of a project model to validate construction schedules.
    • Use Animator and Scripter for interactive animations and presentations.
    • Add materials, lighting and backgrounds with Presenter to project models, to create realistic images.
    • Perform Clash Detection tests between file types of different consultant disciplines to check the Coordination of the model.
