    Win More Projects with BIM

BIM helps you gain a competitive advantage with:
    • Better insight into constructability and material costs, before a project beings
    • Improved coordination and clash detection, leading to fewer errors and change orders
    • Enhanced 4D construction scheuling, linking timelines to 3D building model geometry to keep projects on track

This 3-hour seminar will show you the fundamentals needed to create virtual 3D models utilizing Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP, and how to leverage the intelligent building components throughout the entire life cycle of the building including design and construction coordination.

You will learn how to use the model to:
    • Create coordinated documents
    • Export quantities for estimating
    • Create 4D construction
    • Logistics and visualization
    • Import site topography
    • As-planned versus as-built images
    • Interference detection
    • Energy analysis,
    • Value-engineering
    • Constructability

Please see other listings for NavisWorks Review only or the discounted rate for the 2 day series.

This course is broken into three 1-day sections (NavisWorks Manage, Simulate, and Review). Using hands-on exercises students learn how to open, review, and run object-interference checks on 3D models. Students also learn how to link to task-scheduling files and create 4D construction simulations. Using the Animator and Scripter tools, students create interactive animations. In addition, students learn how the Presenter tools can help them to create photorealistic images and animations. This course provides students with the skills and knowledge to use NavisWorks 2009 effectively.
    • Day 1: NavisWorks Review
Includes Getting Started section and a 3D Model review set of lessons. Learn about the NavisWorks Engine, viewpoints, and real-time rendering capabilities.
    • Day 2: NavisWorks Simulate*
Includes an overview on TimeLiner, Animator, Scriptor, and Presenter basics tools. The student will learn about importing tasks from external files, cameras and camera viewpoints, creating actions, and applying materials to model items.
*Students who register for NavisWorks Simulate must enroll in the Review section.
    • Day 3: NavisWorks Manage**
Advanced Presenter features are covered including editing and managing materials, ground planes, environment backgrounds and reflections, custom environments, and a complete clash detective overview.
